What is Writing News like? Positive and Negative Thoughts About my First Experience

“When finding news, you don’t always have much time, and you must learn to manage it to obtain the information and interviews in the moment”

Something that I noticed when writing news was that it is not very hard to find a newsworthy topic. I think the most difficult part of writing my first news article was finding different people to interview on a specific subject and balancing my time with theirs. I think it is different when that is your job, but you must still find a way to approach people and secure interviews to obtain the most accurate information. I also consider it important to find reliable sources to support the news you are writing about.

Writing news was a very interesting experience. Something I liked about it was that, during the interviews, I learned a lot about the people I interviewed. It helped me connect with them and made them feel special as part of the news story. Some of them were excited about the article and even asked me for the link so they could read it. I could also feel a special connection to the article because I would like to have my own business someday, and the interviews helped me gain a more positive perspective on my idea.

On the other hand, I found it difficult to get the people I interviewed to dedicate time to answering my questions on short notice. Even though they wanted to help me with the interviews, some of them were very busy and had other commitments they could not cancel. This led me to adjust the interview to different methods of communication, such as sending text messages to receive answers or using voice chat. However, this helped me understand that when finding news, you don’t always have much time, and you must learn to manage it to obtain the information and interviews in the moment. I had to drive to different places to conduct the interviews and get the pictures I was going to share in the article.
