The Power of Planning — Briefing, Scripting to Final Product.
Preparation is key to ensuring success in a project.
Planning is a crucial part of any project you may work on. As I worked on the video production project for college, I learned the importance of planning. Video production can be a scary process if you don’t know how to plan for it. Fortunately, briefing and scripting can facilitate the process. This process guides you step by step through what you need to know to make your project successful.
It may feel like this is a long process and that we need to collect too much information at the beginning of the project. However, this process is necessary if we want to have the important details about the different things we need to start shooting our videos. In the briefing process, you define your objectives, identify your audience, plan your budget, and set deadlines for the different deliverables. This helps you allocate the different tools and money you need to prepare, as well as the theme that will guide your video production project. Once you have the tools you need, you can start planning the script and recording your video and voiceover. Finally, the editing process can help you complete the final details to ensure your video looks as expected.
This process helps us understand the client’s objectives and how we can better use our tools effectively. Preparation is key to ensuring success in a project. Planning ensures we are prepared with the little details we need to do a quality job, which can help you achieve your goals and make you feel you have achieved your objectives as a brand.
